Start a drawing on iPhone or iPad
- Open the web studio in a current Safari or another browser with Web Audio support. Compatibility with specific iOS versions has not yet been certified.
- Tap a color and draw inside the canvas. Higher marks produce higher notes, and playback moves from left to right.
- Tap Play to start audio. Check volume and the current audio output if you cannot hear anything; connected headphones may be receiving the sound.
A small canvas or more room to explore
Use short lines and separated dots on a phone, or experiment with overlapping shapes on a larger screen. The web player supports touch drawing; pressure-sensitive Apple Pencil features are not implemented. Turn the phone sideways if you prefer more horizontal drawing space.
Save artwork, audio or an editable project
Use Save for a JSON project you can open in this web player later. Export offers a PNG image or one WAV audio loop. Your browser controls where downloaded files are stored. Private browsing or clearing site data can remove the local draft, so keep a project download for anything you want to revisit.
When the iOS app arrives
We will add our verified App Store link here when the release is available. Pricing, minimum iOS version and native features have not been announced. Our web playground and future mobile app are a separate project from the original play_music_theory instrument.
A few more answers.

No App Store link has been published for our project yet. You can try the browser version today.
Why did playback stop when I switched apps?
This web player intentionally stops playback when its tab becomes hidden. Return to the page and tap Play again.
Can I install this from TestFlight?
We have not announced a TestFlight beta. This page will carry release information when it is confirmed.
